Do you sleep with the air conditioning on? Here’s what it costs you

Fortunately, there are some very simple ways to keep things fresh without  blowing  the bill:

  • Choosing a high-performance device:

Recent models with an  A++ or A+++ energy label  consume up to  40% less  than older air conditioners.

  • Correctly size your device:

An air conditioner that’s too powerful for a small room will consume unnecessary energy. Conversely, an undersized model will run continuously. The right compromise?  A unit that’s suited to the space and insulation .

  • Adjust the temperature in moderation:

According to  Ademe , a temperature of  26°C  is more than sufficient for good nighttime comfort. And be careful:  the greater the difference between the outside and inside temperatures (above 7°C), the greater the consumption.

  • Use “eco” or “night” mode:

These features allow the device to modulate its power. The result?  Less noise and up to 30% energy savings!

What if we also took advantage of natural freshness?
