Do you sleep with the air conditioning on? Here’s what it costs you

Even before turning on the air conditioning, a few  simple steps  can make all the difference:

  • Ventilate early in the morning or late in the evening , when the air is cooler. Then  close everything, including the shutters , to keep the cool air inside.
  • Insulate your windows and attic  if you haven’t already. Proper insulation not only reduces heat in the summer, but also reduces heat loss in the winter.  A double benefit, both summer and winter.
  • Maintain your appliance  : A  clogged filter  or an  improperly adjusted system  can consume much more energy than necessary.  Regular cleaning is often enough to optimize its performance.

Restful sleep is precious… even more so when it doesn’t cost a fortune.
