You have one opportunity to create a good first impression, but these young people did their best to fix their error once they realized it.
A server in Los Angeles was taking care of four teenagers, ensuring they had a great evening. He then got a disappointing tip… The server felt sad and frustrated because the children and other customers didn’t know the tradition of leaving a generous tip for good service.
He shared on social media how he felt as a waiter when he got only a $3.28 tip from the teenagers.
“It’s really annoying when I receive a very small tip, even though the customer is smiling and thanking me a lot as they leave.” But then something really surprising occurred!
About a week later, he got a letter.
About ten days ago, on October 7th, my three friends and I went to this restaurant to celebrate our own homecoming.” Being here by ourselves was thrilling and everything was unfamiliar to us.
And you were the greatest server we could have hoped for. You were nice, helpful, and understanding. You didn’t treat us like children and managed to prepare food that accommodated all my allergies. I wanted to thank you for making our adult experience so great and enjoyable.
