Make sure the wet towel is thick enough
Wipes should be thick and durable enough not to tear when laundered in the machine. Try to utilize separate sheets instead of long strips.
Dry paper and cloth towels do not produce the same effect
Do not attempt to replace wet wipes with paper or cloth. Paper is not strong enough and will merely make your clothes and washing machine dirtier as the paper bits dissolve. Cloth towels will not suffice
