Instructions:

Activate yeast: In a bowl, combine yeast and warm water. Let rest for a few minutes.

Warm milk and buttermilk: In a microwave-safe container, heat milk and buttermilk until warm.

Combine wet ingredients: Add melted butter to warm milk and buttermilk mixture. Combine with yeast, sugar, salt, and 1 cup flour in a mixing bowl. Beat on high with a dough hook until combined.

Add egg: Add egg and beat until incorporated.

Add remaining flour: Gradually add remaining flour until dough comes away from the dough hook.

Let dough rise: Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour.

Roll out and cut: Roll out dough to ½-inch thickness. Cut into 12 rectangular shapes.

Shape and rise: Fold ends under to form rolls. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet and let rise for 20 minutes.

Bake: Preheat oven to 400°F. Bake rolls for 12-15 minutes, or until lightly browned.

Make honey cinnamon butter: Combine butter, cinnamon, honey, and confectioners’ sugar.

Serve: Serve warm rolls with honey cinnamon butter.
