Introduction

Ingredients

  • 1 pound of beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/4 cup of beef broth

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced beef, soy sauce, and cornstarch. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned. Remove the beef and set aside.
  3. Add the remaining tablespoon of oil to the skillet. Add onions, green and red bell peppers. Stir-fry until tender-crisp.
  4. Add minced garlic and stir-fry for another minute until fragrant.
  5. Return beef to the skillet. Add oyster sauce, sugar, black pepper, and beef broth. Stir and cook for another 2–3 minutes until sauce thickens.
  6. Serve hot with your favorite sides like rice or noodles.
