At eight months pregnant, I uncovered a truth that broke me completely — the man I had trusted and planned my future with was cheating on me.

I sat at the edge of my bed, my hands shaking as I held the proof.

I felt my baby move inside me, and tears rolled down my cheeks.

When I told my mother, I hoped for comfort.

But instead, she simply sighed and said, “You can’t leave him now. Think of your baby. Stay calm, give birth, and then figure out what to do.”
