Everyone has an electric kettle. Using an electric kettle to boil water is very convenient. However, abroad, electric kettles are rarely used. Why don’t foreigners use electric kettles?

First point: Because the quality of drinking water abroad is very good and there is no large-scale concern. Tap water in foreign countries is filtered and purified to meet the standards for direct drinking, so there is no need to boil water before drinking.

Second point: The voltage abroad is different from ours. For example, in Canada, Japan, the United States, and other places, they use 110V electricity, which causes the kettle to heat up more slowly. Naturally, it takes more time, so in this case, the electric kettle cannot be considered more convenient.

Third point: The difference in eating and drinking habits. Most Vietnamese and Asians like to drink tea, but foreigners are not accustomed to drinking tea, so they don’t need boiling water. Even if they drink coffee, they have coffee machines, so there’s no need for an electric kettle.
