I came across a tip on Facebook for dealing with those relentless horse flies and deer flies around the pool. I wasn’t sure if it would really work, but the results blew me away!

Here’s what I did:

  • I used a black beach ball (cheap 3-pack on Amazon for about $5).

  • Tied it to an old 4-foot pool brush handle.

  • Secured the handle to the pool straps so the ball hangs just beside the water.

  • Then came the key step: I coated the ball with Tanglefoot (the super-sticky stuff used in insect traps).

The results? Absolutely wild.
