
I discovered this recipe 3 years ago and am still making them years later
Instructions:
Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit to ensure it’s adequately heated for baking.
Prepare Mushrooms: Start by cleaning the mushrooms with a damp paper towel. Carefully remove the stems and finely chop them for later use.
Prepare Cream Cheese Mixture: In a skillet over medium-high heat, melt the butter. Add the chopped mushroom stems, garlic powder, and minced garlic. Cook until the mushrooms are tender. Then, add the softened cream cheese and half of the grated Parmesan cheese. Stir until the mixture is creamy and well combined.
Stuff Mushrooms: Once the cream cheese mixture is ready, carefully stuff each mushroom cap with a generous amount of the filling. Place the stuffed mushrooms in a single layer in a shallow baking dish.
Bake: Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese over the stuffed mushrooms. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until the mushrooms are cooked through, and the stuffing is lightly browned.
Garnish and Serve: Remove the mushrooms from the oven and garnish with freshly minced parsley for a pop of color and flavor. Serve immediately and enjoy!
