Ingredients
For the Beef and Gravy:
1 lb ground beef (80/20 or leaner)
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp flour (for thickening)
2 cups beef broth (low sodium preferred)
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp onion powder
½ tsp garlic powder
Salt and black pepper to taste
Optional: mushrooms (sliced), peas, or corn for added texture
For the Mashed Potatoes:
2 lbs potatoes (Yukon Gold or Russet), peeled and cubed
4 tbsp butter
½ cup milk (or heavy cream for richness)
Salt to taste
Optional: ¼ cup sour cream or cream cheese for extra creaminess
