- 1 (10 oz) can chicken, drained
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2-3 tbsp miracle whip
- 1-2 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1⁄4 tsp ground black pepper
- 1⁄4 tsp cayenne pepper (or to taste)
- 1⁄4 tsp celery seeds
- 4-5 green onions, chopped
- (4 cans) crescent roll dough
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the drained canned chicken, softened cream cheese, miracle whip, Dijon mustard, black pepper, cayenne pepper, celery seeds and chopped green onions. Use a hand mixer to blend everything together until fully combined.
- Open the cans of crescent roll dough and unroll them onto the prepared baking sheet, separating them into triangle shapes.
- Scoop approximately 1 tbsp of chicken filling onto the wide end of each crescent roll triangle. (Source: Ineskohl.info)
- Roll up each triangle, starting from the wide end, to enclose the filling. Curl in the pointed corners to form a croissant shape.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving. Tear open to reveal the gooey, chicken-stuffed interior.
Tips:
- For best results, make sure your cream cheese is softened to room temperature before mixing the filling. This will make it easier to blend.
- Feel free to adjust the spices to suit your tastes. Add more cayenne if you like it extra spicy or reduce it if you prefer milder heat.
- Chop your green onions nice and fine so they mix in evenly to the filling.
- Make sure you seal the edges of the crescent roll dough well around the filling so it doesn’t leak out as it bakes. Pinching along the seams helps secure it.
- Serve warm right out of the oven for maximum deliciousness! The fillings get perfectly melty and gooey when warm.
- Double or triple the recipe as needed if you’re making it for a big gathering. These always go quick!
