Country Apple Fritter Bread

Instructions

Step 01

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with nonstick cooking spray.

Step 02

In a small bowl, mix together the light brown sugar and ground cinnamon. Set aside. Toss the chopped apples in 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar and set aside.

Step 03

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and remaining granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Step 04

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt.

Step 05

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.

Step 06

Spread half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the batter. Layer half of the chopped apples on top. Repeat with the remaining batter, cinnamon sugar, and apples.

Step 07

Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Step 08

Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely. In a small bowl, mix the powdered sugar with enough milk to achieve a drizzling consistency. Drizzle the glaze over the cooled bread.

Step 09

Slice and serve the Country Apple Fritter Bread as a delicious treat or dessert.
