Ingredients:

Sodium bicarbonate
Water
Soft cloth or cotton
Procedure:

Prepare the paste: Blend baking soda with a little water until a thick paste forms.
Apply the paste: Use the soft cloth or cotton, apply the paste to the base of the iron, concentrating on the burned areas.
Leave to act: Let the paste act for about 10-15 minutes.
Clean: Moisten another cloth with water and wipe the base to get rid of any baking soda residue.
For Ceramic or Teflon Irons
Ingredients:

White vinegar
Table salt
Paper napkin
Procedure:

Blend: In a bowl, mix equal parts white vinegar and salt.
Application: Use the paper towel to apply the mixture to the base of the iron. Make sure to cover any stains well.
Rub gently: Massage with the napkin, applying light pressure, but without damaging the surface.
Clean: Moisten a clean napkin and remove any residue.
For Aluminum Sheets
Ingredients:

Baking paper
Table salt
Water
Procedure:

Heat the iron: Turn on the iron and set it to a low temperature.
Get ready with the mixture: Sprinkle salt on a piece of baking paper.
Cleaning: When the griddle is hot, wipe the bottom with baking paper and salt. The salt will help get rid of stains.
Cool and clean: Let the iron cool and then wipe with a damp cloth.
