Instructions:
Prepare the Crust:
Butter the inside of a 9×13 baking dish.
Crush the golden oreos in a processor until small crumbs form.
Add the melted butter to the crumbs and pulse until combined.
Press the cookie mixture into the bottom of the baking dish to form an even layer.
Place the crust in the freezer for 10 minutes to set.
Prepare the Cream Cheese Layer:
In a bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and 1 cup of whipped topping until smooth.
Spread this cream cheese mixture over the chilled cookie crust and return to the freezer for another 10 minutes.
Prepare the Pudding Layer:
In another bowl, combine the instant pudding mix, milk, and ½ cup of whipped topping.
Whisk until the mixture begins to thicken.
Spread the pudding over the chilled cream cheese layer and smooth evenly.
Chill for 30 minutes or until the pudding is set.
Add the Cherry Filling and Topping:
After 30 minutes, carefully pour the cherry pie filling over the pudding layer to avoid mixing the layers.
Spread the remaining whipped topping over the dessert.
Top with chopped pecans or walnuts.
Chill and Serve:
Chill the Cherry Cheesecake Lush for 1 to 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
Slice and enjoy this delightful dessert with friends and family!
