Instructions:
Prepare the Roux:
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
Add the flour and whisk continuously for about 1 minute until smooth.
Make the Sauce:
Gradually pour in the milk while whisking to avoid lumps.
Continue stirring until the mixture thickens slightly.
Add the Cheese & Seasonings:
Lower the heat and stir in the grated Cheddar cheese until fully melted.
Add mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
Serve Hot:
Pour over crispy fries and enjoy!
Tip: If the sauce is too thick, add a little more milk to reach the desired consistency.
