A Cozy Mashup That Just Makes Sense: Banana Bread Cinnamon Rolls
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In a separate bowl, combine melted butter, mashed bananas, milk, egg, and vanilla.
Stir wet ingredients into dry until just combined. Do not overmix.
On a floured surface, roll the dough into a rectangle.
Spread softened butter on top, then sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon. Add nuts if using.
Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into 1-inch slices.
Place rolls in greased dish, cut-side up, and bake for 25–30 minutes or until golden.
In a small bowl, whisk glaze ingredients: powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla.
Let rolls cool slightly before drizzling glaze over the top. Serve warm.
Notes
Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor and moisture.
Substitute almond milk and vegan butter for a dairy-free version.
Use dental floss to cut dough cleanly without squishing the rolls.
Let the dough rise in a warm spot to ensure fluffiness.
