Ingredients

  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • ½ lb ground beef
  • ½ lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning, divided
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ cup red bell pepper, chopped
  • ½ cup yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Boil spaghetti in salted water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and 1 tbsp of Cajun seasoning. Cook until browned, then remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add shrimp and cook with remaining Cajun seasoning until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add garlic, onions, and red bell pepper. Sauté until soft and fragrant.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, then stir in paprika and red pepper flakes. Bring to a simmer.
  6. Add Parmesan cheese and mix until sauce is smooth and creamy. Season with salt and black pepper.
  7. Return cooked beef and shrimp to the skillet. Stir to coat in sauce.
  8. Add the cooked spaghetti and toss everything together until well combined.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
