Pepper Steak with Onions

Ingredients
- 1 pound of beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon of sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
- 1/4 cup of beef broth
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the sliced beef, soy sauce, and cornstarch. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned. Remove the beef and set aside.
- Add the remaining tablespoon of oil to the skillet. Add onions, green and red bell peppers. Stir-fry until tender-crisp.
- Add minced garlic and stir-fry for another minute until fragrant.
- Return beef to the skillet. Add oyster sauce, sugar, black pepper, and beef broth. Stir and cook for another 2–3 minutes until sauce thickens.
- Serve hot with your favorite sides like rice or noodles.
