Busy Day Soup Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet onion soup mix
  • 1 3/4 cups mixed frozen vegetables
  • 5 cups water
  • 1 (28 oz) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 cup macaroni, uncooked

Instructions:

  1. Brown the Ground Beef:
    • In a large pot, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add Soup Mix and Water:
    • Stir in the onion soup mix and 5 cups of water. Bring to a boil.
  3. Add Vegetables and Tomatoes: Once boiling, add the mixed frozen vegetables and the can of diced tomatoes (with juice). Stir well.
  4. Cook the Macaroni:
    • Add the uncooked macaroni to the pot. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for about 10-12 minutes, or until the macaroni is tender.
  5. Season to Taste:
    • Taste the soup and adjust seasoning if necessary (add salt, pepper, or other spices as desired).
  6. Serve:
    • Ladle the soup into bowls and enjoy!

  • Variations: You can add other vegetables or beans for extra nutrition.
